Glass tiles are not only beautiful, they also are ecologically sound, resulting in a rapidly growing popularity and demand for recycled glass tile. Many of the glass tiles we carry at RBC Tile & Stone were discarded glass bottles at one time. Recycled glass is cleaned and crushed and the resulting substance, called cullet, becomes the raw material used in producing glass tile. Some products consist of up to 85% recycled content. Recycled glass tile can be used in all tile applications, including pools, counters, walls, showers and baths, as well as residential flooring projects.
